St Genève began as a small family business started by our founder, Michael de la Place. Over fifty years ago he fell in love with textiles, and began creating patterns and developing designs for duvets and pillows. Today he and his wife Annette still lead the company. St Genève has become a world renowned manufacturer of luxury bed linens and superb down products. We have an international reputation as a leader in design, quality, and authenticity. Quality has always been our primary objective. A member of Downmark – the Down Association of Canada, St Genève has been active in many of its initiatives. Michael was first elected as president of Downmark in 1997 and served for 20 years in that capacity. The special types of down we use have tremendous insulating power which is maintained by their high loft, density and clinging ability. These properties make the most luxurious down products because they are so warm and so lightweight. St Genève bed linens are designed and made in Canada using the highest quality Silk, Giza Egyptian Cotton, Linen and Micro Modal® fabrics, woven by specialty mills in Germany and Italy. Our collections are designed and meticulously hand-crafted at our manufacturing facility by our exceptional team, many of whom have been with us for decades.
